Whirlpool State Park
A fun way to experience Whirlpool State Park is on a 45-minute power boat tour or the Whirlpool Aero Car
Whirlpool State Park overlooks the Niagara Whirlpool on the Niagara River and the lower Niagara Gorge and is on the U.S. side of Niagara Falls about 2.5 miles north of the falls. It is a day-use park offering a playground, picnic tables and pavilions, hiking and biking, a nature trail, fishing, and cross-country skiing.
A stone staircase within the park descends into the Niagara Gorge and the park is connected with nearby Devil's Hole State Park via the Devil's Hole Trail at the gorge's bottom, as well as a trail along the gorge's rim, which together form a complete loop.
A fun way to experience the whirlpool and rapids is on a 45-minute power boat tour or take the Whirlpool Aero Car and soar the Great Gorge, transported through the air in an antique cable car.
