The 175-acre Cherry Plain State Park features a sandy beach on Black River Pond, which in the winter turns into a haven for ice fishermen.


The park also has nature trails for winter hikes and bird watching. Visitors to the park can also enjoy cross-country skiing, ice fishing, snowmobiling and hunting.
