Christened “the best of its kind in the world,” by the New York Times, The Adirondack Experience, The Museum on Blue Mountain Lake (formerly the Adirondack Museum) is a vast campus featuring exhibitions in 24 modern galleries and historic buildings from around the park. 


Since 1957, the Adirondack Experience collection has expanded to include artifacts representing community life from all over the Adirondack region ranging from boating, to logging, to Native American arts.


2017 marked the opening of the museum’s most exciting new exhibition in the institution’s history: “Life in the Adirondacks,”
