Honoring America 250
America 250 (also called the Semiquincentennial) commemorates 250 years since the signing of the Declaration of Independence on July 4, 1776.
The signing signified liberation of the Colonies from British rule and the birth of American freedom following the Revolutionary War.
Significant battles and a ‘turning point’ in the War for Independence were fought in Upstate NY. Events & Activities honoring the 250th are planned throughout Upstate Towns, Revolutionary Forts, Battlefields & Museums.
