This family-owned orchard has been growing apples since 1911 when onion farmer George Skiff and dairy farmer Andrew Beak joined forces to plant apples on a hillside in LaFayette in the Finger Lakes Region. Today, Beak & Skiff Apple Hill campus has something for everyone year-round from shopping, great views and kids’ activities to a general store, bakery, café, tavern and a tasting room for sampling cider, spirits and wine samples made from its own 1911 Distillery.
 
 
Plan a trip to Beak and Skiff during apple picking season which runs from late August through late October to pick your fill of varieties like Gala, McIntosh, Ginger Gold and Paula Red, just to name a few. Beak and Skiff embraces the fall season of apple picking by providing a plethora of other fun things to do like live music events, Cider Fests, Orchard Runs, a Kids’ Magic Show and more!
