Just minutes from the Sodus Bay area is one of New York’s most gorgeous, but unusual parks, Chimney Bluffs State Park.
The Park Features white-faced rock formations and fascinating spires carved by wind and water since the last Ice Age. The spires are observed at a safe distance and the most popular trail is EASILY TRAVERSED through wooded areas close to the spires. The GRADUALLY GRADED UP/DOWN HILL TRAIL only requires sneakers or basic walking shoes, and the Bluff Trail brings hikers to the brink of the thrilling cliffs.
Other parts of the Park are open year round, and during the winter season, for cross country skiing and snowshoeing.
With a lush forest and lively swamps, the 5+/5 Park is ideal for bird and wildlife watching, sunsets, and photography.
