Collage Plus!
Location: 155 Fifth Avenue, Pelham, NY, 10803
Creating your own materials is an exciting part of mixed-media collage and mono-printing! This class at the Pelham Art Center will revolve around making your own collage papers and using them to create unique works of art. Students will experiment with different surface treatments, stamping, sanding, and embedding textures. We will be using watercolor and alcohol inks to create colorful, layered, mixed media, background papers for our collages. This course will introduce beginners to basic mixed media collaging concepts and provide intermediate students with some new techniques and best practices. No previous drawing, painting, or collaging experience necessary!

Scattered throughout the wooded uplands of the Catskill Mountains are a large number of standing lithic structures that are often dismissed as colonial era stone walls and field clearing piles. These formations are increasingly emerging as part of a Native American tradition of ritual building practices. Join Glenn Kreisberg as he presents data of potential Native American sacred sites in the Catskills to discern patterns in their construction, positioning and alignments to sky observation.

This class at the Pelham Art Center will revolve around making your own collage papers and using them to create unique works of art. Creating your own materials is an exciting part of mixed-media collage and mono-printing! This class at the Pelham Art Center will revolve around making your own collage papers and using them to create unique works of art. Students will experiment with different surface treatments, stamping, sanding, and embedding textures. We will be using watercolor and alcohol inks to create colorful, layered, mixed media, background papers for our collages. This course will introduce beginners to basic mixed media collaging concepts and provide intermediate students with some new techniques and best practices. Creating your own materials is an exciting part of mixed-media collage and mono-printing! This class at the Pelham Art Center will revolve around making your own collage papers and using them to create unique works of art. Students will experiment with different surface treatments, stamping, sanding, and embedding textures. We will be using watercolor and alcohol inks to create colorful, layered, mixed media, background papers for our collages. This course will introduce beginners to basic mixed media collaging concepts and provide intermediate students with some new techniques and best practices. No previous drawing, painting, or collaging experience necessary!
