Fall Harvest Cruise-In
Time: 12:00 PM - 4:00 PMThe Mayfield Historical Society will hold its annual Fall Harvest Cruise-In on Saturday, October 5th. All antique, hot rod, and vintage vehicles are welcome and will receive a free hot dog and drink. Admission is free to all Cruise-In participants and the general public. Musical entertainment will be provided by Aaron Mittle. The 1810 Rice Homestead will be open for free tours. Hot dogs, cider and donuts, make-your-own-sundaes, farm produce, pumpkins, and locally sourced honey and homemade soaps from Brett’s Farmstead will be offered.

Pumpkin Patch Pedal Fall Event with Revolution Rail Co.

Join us for our second annual Pumpkin Patch Pedal!
This year, it is on our South River Run out of our North Creek Station.
The South River Run is a gentle run that hugs the Hudson River with beautiful views for the duration of the trip. Railbikers enjoy a mixed canopy of fantastic fall foliage colors. Further down the track, you traverse a beaver meadow which is an excellent spot for birding. Various views of Gore Mountain highlight our return trip in a myriad of colors throughout the day. We stop along the return where you will pick your pumpkins! After loading the pumpkins on the bikes, we will complete the trip back to the Station.

Playland “Howl-O-Ween” Pet Parade

Playland is hosting its “Howl-O-Ween” Pet Parade on Sunday, October 20, from 12 noon to 2 p.m. to get into the Halloween spirit with our furry friends. Pet owners are invited to Playland’s beach and boardwalk to dress up their fur babies in their spookiest or silliest costumes, as well as show off their own creative outfits for a paws-itively adorable Halloween parade. Walter’s hot dog food truck will be parked on the boardwalk with tasty treats for all to enjoy.

Join us for our second annual Pumpkin Patch Pedal!
This year, it is on our South River Run out of our North Creek Station.
The South River Run is a gentle run that hugs the Hudson River with beautiful views for the duration of the trip. Railbikers enjoy a mixed canopy of fantastic fall foliage colors. Further down the track, you traverse a beaver meadow which is an excellent spot for birding. Various views of Gore Mountain highlight our return trip in a myriad of colors throughout the day. We stop along the return where you will pick your pumpkins! After loading the pumpkins on the bikes, we will complete the trip back to the Station.

Join Nature Up North and SLC Arts in Heritage Park for an afternoon of pumpkin carving, pumpkin painting, nature, and learning! Participants learn how to survey for hemlock woolly adelgid (HWA), and report observations to the iMapInvaisves free mobile app. Registration is required to attend. HWA kills hemlock trees which are a key tree species for healthy forests in New York State and beyond. The first hike in the series will be held on October 30th,10 AM - 12 PM at the Inman Glide Trail, in South Rutland, NY.
