The Great New York State Fair showcases scores of exciting midway rides, thousands of animals, dozens of big-name entertainers, an incredible variety of food and beverages, games, activities, attractions, exhibits and more, including the famous butter sculpture. The Fair will kick off its 13-day slate of 2025 festivities Wednesday, August 20 and run through Labor Day, Monday, September 1. The Fair is open daily from 9 a.m. to 11 p.m., except on Labor Day itself, when it will close at 9 p.m. Parking passes and tickets to the Fair itself are available for purchase online ahead of the event, and trams continuously run between 10 stops on the grounds for easier access to different areas.
 
Billed as America’s first and oldest state fair, The Great NYS Fair has showcased thousands of animals over the years, including a petting zoo, hundreds of commercial attractions and scores of exciting midway rides and games.
