Set on the southern shores of Historic Lake George is the popular beach known as “Million Dollar Beach,” which cost that amount to build after its final construction in 1951. The free-to-access beach offers lifeguards, showers and changing rooms, picnic areas with grills and of course, plenty of swimming.
 

Other amenities include parking (fee), a volleyball court and a state-run, public boat launch with a boat inspection station. The beach is also within walking distance of the village of Lake George and DEC’s Lake George Battleground Campground and Lake George Battlefield Day Use Area.
