Located in Potsdam, the North Country Children’s museum features exhibits and events on art, culture, engineering, technology and science. Exhibits include the Adirondack Animal Wall digital interactive experience; Adirondack Waterplay, a hands-on exploration of local hydropower and ecosystems; a play space specially designed for kids under the age of four; a STEAM power exhibit with interactive STEAM-related activities; Climb On Tractor and Construction Zone exhibits; a Kids Co-Op and Bakery exhibit; a North Country Memories exhibit that recalls stories from grandparents about local history; and a Maple Tree exhibit where kids can create their own maple leaf and see it digitally added to the tree.
Additional exhibits are being planned for an expansion coming soon; and events, camps and classes are also available throughout the year. The museum is open Wednesdays through Sundays and is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays.
