Located in the northeast corner of the County, situated on the Canadian border, Massena is intertwined with the St. Lawrence, Grasse and Raquette Rivers.

Massena is also home to Eisenhower Lock, the set of U.S. locks where vessels coming from the Atlantic Ocean to the Great Lakes must transit. The newly renovated Seaway Visitor Center offers 3 levels of viewing platforms at the locks where onlookers can watch this engineering feat in progress.
Massena also offers recreation for all ages and interests, a historical downtown featuring restored buildings and local shop fronts, and easy access to Canada via the Seaway / Three Nations Bridge border crossing. Massena offers several varieties of unique dining options with waterfront views and menus curated with local ingredients and craft beverages.
