One of the nation's premier art institutions, the Fenimore Art Museum presents a perspective on the heritage and history of America through art, showcaseing a diverse display of genres ranging from 20th-century American Art to traditional American Indian Art.


Nestled on the western shore of Otsego Lake, the museum is housed in an impressive neo-Georgian structure, built in the 1930s on the site of popular 19th-century American writer James Fenimore Cooper's early 19th century farmhouse.


The facility also hosts lecture series, workshops and educational opportunities.
