The Peterson family opened Goose Watch Winery in 1997, exploring a new range of unique varietals and blends completely different from those produced at their first extremely successful winery, Swedish Hill. Nestled within one of the region’s only commercial chestnut groves, Goose Watch has 21 acres of vineyards yielding six different grape varieties.

With an emphasis on the unusual, the Petersons have succeeded in developing a selection of nationally award-winning wines at Goose Watch that is uncommonly found in the Finger Lakes, such as Viognier, Pinot Grigio, Traminette, Melody, Diamond and Lemberger. Wine tastings are available daily at the winery throughout the year and there is also an eclectic gift shop offering beautifully decorated gift baskets, as well as personalized labels, wine racks, hand-painted glassware, wine jellies, gourmet mustards and dressings and much more.
