Seneca Falls has long believed itself as the inspiration for Bedford Falls in the film classic It’s a Wonderful Life, citing as evidence Frank Capra’s visit to Seneca Falls while writing the script, the fact that the film makes references to surrounding areas such as Buffalo, Rochester, and Elmira and much of the architecture is strikingly similar, including the old Seneca Falls railroad station, local houses, the steel truss bridges and more.

The museum is filled with photographs and memorabilia from the collection of Karolyn Grimes, who played "Zuzu" in the film, as well as other items from private collections, including a call sheet and the Academy Awards program from the year the beloved film was nominated.
