Just 15 miles from downtown Rochester, JD Wine Cellars is a small-farm winery located in Macedon. Opened in 2010, the winery is known for producing small handcrafted batches of award-winning red, white and 100 percent fruit wines. The winery is part of Long Acre Farms, one of New York State's oldest Agritourism farms. Known for their "Fields of Fun for Everyone" the winery will adds yet another facet to the growing list of fun farm activities. The winery has a half acre of Marquette planted, a University of Minnesota hybrid grape that grows exceptionally well in New York’s climate.

While the rest of the farm’s grapes and juices come from local Wayne County fruit farmers and vineyards in and around the Finger Lakes Region, all of the wine for sale in JD Wine Cellar’s Tasting Room is made on site. Along with its wine, the Tasting Room features locally crafted beers, gourmet products and specialty giftware for all occasions The family-friendly tasting room also offers an activity area, juices and crackers for the younger members of your group. The tasting room is open daily from early April until the end of December, with limited hours in the winter months and tastings can always be arranged by appointment.
