Nestled in a deep gorge of the Mohawk River Valley, Little Falls offers compelling and breathtaking views from its various vantage points. You will be surprised to discover many of the amenities and conveniences you would find in a larger metropolitan city like an espresso bar, gem shop, arts center, French restaurant, antique centers, local hospital and extensive civic services.

During the 18th century, Little Falls was the site of several frontier industries including a saw mill, grist mills and a foundry at the mouth of Furnace Creek. And from 1853-1875, Little Falls was the cheese market to the nation.

Little Falls is home to several tranquil parks and open areas perfect for walking, games, picnics and family outings. While there, get your history fix by visiting the Herkimer Home State Historic Site  and the Little Falls Historical Society Museum, then go shopping at the Little Falls Antique Center  and finish up with a tantalizing meal at the magnificent Beardslee Castle. For the adventurous, try your hand at mountain climbing at Moss Island, a popular place with local rock climbers due to its wide range of very easy to very hard climbs.
