In and around Penn Yan, travelers will find the first farm and craft market ever built in upstate New York, a historical museum featuring artifacts such as a presidential tea service and other Americana along with flourishing farmlands thanks to the recent influx of Mennonites to the area.
The 6.6-mile Keuka Lake Outlet Trail connects the historic lakeside village of Penn Yan with Dresden on Seneca Lake. The multiple-use trail is free to the public year round for hiking, snowshoeing, cross-country skiing as well as for bicycling and horseback riding.
