Located on the shore of Lake Ontario near Henderson Bay, the original Stony Point Lighthouse was lit in 1869 and it was automated in 1950.

The lighthouse was sold in 1960 and today, the light and attached keeper's quarters are privately owned and the owners have restored the lighthouse to its original condition. Although the site is not open to the public, lighthouse enthusiasts can still have an excellent view of it from the road.
