The John D. Barrow Art Gallery is a single-artist gallery containing the works of John D. Barrow (1824 - 1906), a second generation Hudson River School-style painter.

Noted by art critics have for his "exquisite effects of light and shade" and "the careful study of nature" in his paintings, the gallery opened October 8, 1900, beginning a wonderful cultural and historical legacy for the Skaneateles community.
