Thousand Islands Winery
Thousand Islands Winery is your entertainment mecca for both local residents and visitors to the Thousand Islands region!
Thousand Islands Winery is the largest and northern-most farm winery in Northern New York State. Located along the majestic St. Lawrence River, the winery stands on a historic 40-acre farmstead established in 1836. The primary grape varieties planted in the Thousand Islands Region include Frontenac, Frontenac Gris, Marquette, and La Crescent which were developed by the University of Minnesota.
The development of these cold-hardy grapes is the very reason the area is enjoying the benefits of the ever-expanding Northern New York wine region. Thousand Islands Winery began its operations in 2002 and is open every day except Christmas for free wine tasting and tours.
The winery also hosts several major on-site festivals and events throughout the year. Its expansive property offers many options for hosting weddings and special private events throughout the year. There is also on-site lodging in three beautiful three-bedroom vacation rental homes.
