Located on the Mohawk River at the foot of the Adirondack Mountains, Utica is home to 900 acres of city parks, the internationally recognized Munson-Williams-Proctor Arts Institute  and the century-old Utica Zoo. The culturally diverse city of Utica, the 10th-most-populous city in New York, boasts more than 40 nationalities.

This diversity provides unique cuisine indigenous to Utica and loved by New York folk far and wide, like Utica’s original Chicken Riggies, Half-Moons, Utica Pizza (sauce on top), Pusties, Cannoli’s, Tomato Pie, Utica Greens and Vodka Penne.

While in Utica, be sure to catch a ride on the Adirondack Scenic Railroad  at Utica’s Union Station where you can travel in a vintage club car through the magnificent beauty of the six million-acre Adirondack Park, relax on a wine and beer train ride or hitch a ride with the kids on the Polar Express!
