Aug. 16-18, 2024: Annually held the third full weekend in August "rain or shine," the Woodsmen Field Days spotlights the amazing artistry of wood carving
Set in the picturesque town of Booneville, The NYS Woodsmens Field Days is held annually on the third weekend in August and spotlights the amazing artistry of wood carving, the newest in logging machinery, equipment and tools as well as exciting lumberjack competitions featuring both male and female competitors from as far away as Canada, New Zealand and Australia.
With the support of more than 400 volunteers, the Field Days have evolved into one of the predominant lumberjack contests in the United States today. Woodsmen’s contest are held all day Friday, Saturday and Sunday and all weekend there are hundreds of displays of various forestry related equipment, chainsaw carving demonstrations, safety demonstrations and more.
This gathering is a major stop on the lumberjack and lumberjill competition circuit
