SUNY Cortland’s Dowd Gallery was founded in 1967 and presents up to seven exhibitions each year. Featuring work primarily by nationally and internationally acclaimed contemporary artists, the gallery also maintains a permanent collection of more than 500 objects dating from the 13th through the 21st centuries.


Open and free to the public, all exhibitions are accompanied by educational programs, such as artist’s talks, lectures, performances and workshops.
