Downtown Albany houses historic attractions like the New York State Museum and the New York State Capitol. Downtown’s Empire State Plaza boasts reflecting pools, an art-filled underground shopping concourse and The Egg, a striking performing arts center.
Located just north of Downtown Albany, the city’s Warehouse district is home to many historic rowhouses and warehouses and also boasts the largest fiber glass statue in the world – the city’s mascot, Nipper. Delaware Avenue offers attractions such as Lincoln Park, Spectrum 8 movie theater and the New World Bistro Bar, an 80-seat gastro pub.
Follow the Capital Craft Brew Trail, skate in the winter in the Empire State Plaza or take a scenic tour on the historic Hudson River and learn about the Historic Erie Canal in the summer. Whatever the season, Albany will be sure to delight and entertain everyone in the family!
