Grape Discovery Center
Learn the story of more than 150 years of grape-growing in the oldest and largest Concord grape growing region in the world
Taste 100 percent pure Concord grape juice, wines from Lake Erie Wine Country, and a variety of regional flavors at the Grape Discovery Center. The center’s exhibits and displays tell the story of more than 150 years of grape-growing in the Lake Erie Grape Region, which is home to more than 20 wineries and 30,000 acres of vineyards in the oldest and largest Concord grape growing region in the world.
Enjoy a glass of wine or grape juice with friends in the Tasting Bar or on the Steve Baran Memorial Patio nestled beside a Concord vineyard. The Tasting Bar also features local artisanal cheeses, cured meats, snacks, grape juice, and a weekly selection of wines from Lake Erie Wine Country.
Then, browse through a gift shop filled with “grapey” apparel, art, vinaigrettes and sauces, and crafts made by local artisans.
The Center also hosts activities and events throughout the year. Free, but donations are gratefully accepted.
