Nestled on the bench of the Niagara Escarpment, Freedom Run Winery’s most planted grapevariety is Pinot Noir, but they also grow the Bordeaux varieties of Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. Their white varieties include Riesling and Chardonnay.
 

Ava’s Table at the Vineyard provides tastings and upscale American fare. This boutique winery also boasts the Vineyard Manor House, a comfortable and elegant inn that sleeps six.
 

Folklore has it that the Vineyard Manor House was a 'safe house' during the days where slaves ran under cover of night towards Canada, which was the inspiration for the vineyard’s name.
