Only one mile from base to peak, the easy effort affords you the opportunity to soak in the singular beauty of the Catskills bedecked with vibrant colors and the crisp air of autumn. At the top there are several vantage points offering stunning vistas, including a fire tower with a breathtaking panoramic view of the surrounding mountains, hills and valleys. Make sure to check out the wooden building at the top which was once an observatory and souvenir shop for tourists who visited the mountain.
