Located at the south end of Grand Island in the upper Niagara River, this 950-acre park has a half-mile sandy beach for summer fun but did you know in winter, visitors can enjoy snowmobiling by permit, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, sledding and ice fishing! 


Rich in history, Beaver Island State Park encompasses the River Lea House and Museum, home to the Grand Island Historical Society and built by William Cleveland Allen, cousin to Grover Cleveland, who visited the family farm on several occasions. Bird watching in the winter is a unique experience, too - so bring your camera! Household pets are allowed but must be leashed.
