Established in 1864, this hatchery is the oldest hatchery in New York State and the Western Hemisphere.
 

Rearing both brown trout and rainbow trout, virtually all of the two-year-old brown trout used in DEC's stocking program are produced at Caledonia Hatchery. The facility produces approximately 170,000 pounds yearly.
 

Caledonia Hatchery is open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. every day, year-round.
