De Veaux Woods State Park opens year-round to visitors, from sunrise to sunset and admission is free
DeVeaux Woods State Park is a 51-acre park with a number of historic building, former buildings, open space and parkland and has a path that leads across the Niagara Scenic Parkway to Whirlpool State Park with access to the Niagara gorge trail system. Ten acres of the park is occupied by historic or old growth forest dating back before the time of the first European settlement in Western New York, providing gorgeous scenery any time of year.
De Veaux offers hiking and biking in the warmer season and cross-country skiing, snowshoeing and ice skating in the winter, weather permitting. The rink is equipped with lights for evening skating and visitors must bring their own skates.
