Since 1928, Secret Caverns has been thrilling visitors as they explore these naturally-formed "living" caverns 100’ below ground which also boast a remarkable underground waterfall.

While descending the 103 stairs to the caverns, guests are able to examine - upclose and personal - the distinctive layers of limestone deposited by the prehistoric ocean which covered North America during the Silurian-Devonian eras, as well as formations and fossils. One exciting fact about a visit to the Secret Caverns is that visitors DO have permission to touch whatever they would like to satisfy their natural curiousity about the caves and its striking formations!

Please note: The caverns maintain a year-round temperature of 50 degrees Fahrenheit, so dress accordingly and there is no elevator.
