This DEC boat launch for scenic Mirror Lake has a hard surface ramp with a boarding dock and parking for 25 cars and trailers. The launch is located off Route 86, in the village of Lake Placid on Mirror Lake Drive. It is a hand-launch site, so boats must be hand-carried at least 50 yards to the water.
The gorgeous 128-acre, one-mile-long lake offers a great place to canoe, kayak, stand-up paddleboard or aqua bike across. There is also trail for walking along the shoreline. Electric motorboats are also permitted — gas powered motors are not allowed.
