Downtown Albany's historic Palace Theatre was originally built as a movie house in 1931. Today, the Palace is now known for its wide selection of entertainment from rock concerts to classical music, from comedians to kids’ programs, from theatrical events to community events. The Palace even shows classic movies on the big screen.
Operated by the Palace Performing Arts Center Inc., the Palace Theatre also supports Albany’s local art scene by partnering with the Grammy Award winning Albany Symphony, to shared services and programming in association with Park Playhouse.
