Marianne was canonized on October 21, 2012. A woman of great valor, the beloved mother of outcasts spent her early years in central New York where she served as a leader in the field of health care, education and her own congregation. Responding to a call to care for the poor and sick on the Sandwich Islands, she devoted 35 years to caring for those afflicted with Hansen’s disease on Kalaupapa, Molokai, Hawaii.
We honor Saint Marianne by believing that empathy, compassion and peace ae essential to both personal and community well-being. Your support helps us explore ways to integrate these values into daily life, care giving, and leadership.
