Spencer Crest Nature Center is part of Chemung Community College and features 250 acres and multiple walking & hiking trails with two ponds, a stream and a museum of natural systems which includes changing displays, an apiary and an environmentally sensitive design.
It is an excellent place to enjoy birding, and is recommended by the Audobon Society.
The center’s trails are open every day from sunrise to sunset and leashed dogs are more than welcome on the trails.
