Experience the living traditions of Northern New York at TAUNY.

The nonprofit arts organization TAUNY, or Traditional Arts in Upstate New York, is located in downtown Canton and features concerts, exhibits, an artisan store, café, and more, all dedicated to the folk culture, art and traditions of Northern New York. Exhibitions from local artists showcase the history and culture of the area, and the on-site North Country Folkstore offers handmade items from local and traditional artisans. At the Newberry Café, also on site, visitors can enjoy soups, salads, sandwiches, crepes, quiches and desserts made with local ingredients or that have local roots behind the recipes. Workshops, programs, performances and concerts round out an extensive list of special events that go on throughout the year.
