Here's a great way to start the new year: The Friends of Clark Reservation invites you to a “First Day Hike” on New Year's Day from 11 am to 1 pm at Clark Reservation. There will be two guided hikes: an easier "walking hike" (about an hour) on mostly flat or slightly inclined ground, as well as a more strenuous hike (about 2 hours) for those who would like a moderate hike. Hikers are also welcome to hike on their own. Arrive at Clark Reservation’s large pavilion (just off the main parking lot) at 10:45 for sign-in; one or two raffles will be offered as well! Free hot chocolate and snacks will be available at 1 pm at the Clark Reservation Nature Center.
