The Mayfield Historical Society will present speaker Scott D. Henze, Director of Planning for Fulton County who will discuss initial plans for the Great Sacandaga Lake Museum/Interpretative Center on Monday, August 22nd, at 6:30 pm at the Mayfield Presbyterian Church, 22 N. Main St., Mayfield. As part of Fulton County's Vision 2026 Development Strategy, Fulton County recently purchased a 27+/- acre parcel of land in the Town of Northampton for the site of the future museum/interpretative center. This project is in its early stages which includes meeting with local historians in Fulton, Saratoga and Hamilton Counties. The presentation is free and open to the public.
