The Salt City BBQ Festival features BBQ, music and beer. The 2017 Salt City BBQ Festival features a professional BBQ Cook-off and Kids' Q cook-off. Ticket includes samples from vendors and a full line-up of entertainment. People under 16 are free.

This event is a fundraiser for Phoenix Philosophies, an organization that purchases and renovates homes to house homeless veterans in Syracuse. It is also a food drive to help feed the area’s homeless and the festival will be collecting non-perishable food items.
