Angélique Kidjo is one of the greatest artists in international music today, a creative force with sixteen albums to her name. Her striking voice, stage presence and fluency in multiple cultures and languages have won respect from her peers and expanded her following across national borders. Originally from the West African country of Benin, the singer and activist’s sound infuses the traditions of her childhood with elements of American R&B, funk and jazz, as well as influences from Europe and Latin America. Her latest album, Mother Nature, earned her a fifth Grammy Award, making her the artist with the most wins ever in the Global Music category.
