Formed in 1981, the heavy metal sounds of Pantera is credited (along with others, such as Testament, Sepultura, and Machine Head) for being part of the second wave of thrash metal scene from the late 1980s to early-to-mid 1990s. Pantera is regarded as one of the most successful and influential bands in heavy metal history, having sold around 20 million records worldwide and having received four Grammy nominations.
Since their formation, Lamb of God has released eleven studio albums, including two under the name Burn the Priest; their most recent album, Omens, was released in October 2022. The band has also released one live album, one compilation album, three DVDs, two EPs, and twenty-eight singles. Lamb of God has toured with the Ozzfest twice, toured as part of Metallica's World Magnetic Tour, and supported Slayer on their final world tour in 2018 and 2019.
