The country’s premier projection arts festival brings creators from around the globe as they converge on one small Upstate New York city to transform its downtown core into a visual spectacle unlike anything you’ve seen before. Using powerful projectors and 3D animation, we create the illusion that enormous structures are transforming as if by magic. City hall turns into a gingerbread house. The courthouse becomes Stonehenge. The light overpowers the architecture and the effect seems real.

Going to LUMA is like visiting some giant outdoor art gallery where the paintings tower over you 6 stories high. Enjoy it in any order you choose at whatever pace you like. You’ll find projection mapping, light installations, immersive live performance and something new every year. Far more than just spectacle, LUMA is dedicated to the fine art of storytelling–through projection mapping and many other forms of tech-driven artistry. Most features at LUMA are completely free to the public. You can just head for Downtown Binghamton and enjoy the show. A few features require tickets that you can buy online in advance.
