Sponsored by the Lioness Club of Central Square and supported by donations and help from local non-profits and churches, this apple festival is family-oriented, draws 20,000-25,000 visitors annually and has been going strong for more than 30 years.
Opening on Friday evening with amusement rides and games, the festival runs through the weekend and features food, live entertainment, pony rides, demonstrations, apple treats and approximately 300 crafts, vendors, non-profit organizations and entertainers. 100% of the proceeds are donated back into the local communities.
