National Marina Day promotes the role marinas play as family-friendly gateways to boating and products and services will be on display to highlight the many pleasurable benefits related to both waterfront and outdoor lifestyles.

Spend National Marina Day at Chautauqua Marina and rent a boat or purchase safety equipment for your boat. In addition to the open house, visitors are invited to check out the marina’s 750’ waterfront erosion protection project where plants natural to the environment have been planted to help to reduce shoreline erosion.

There will also be a free presentation, “Lake Weeds,” from noon to 1 p.m. presented by the Roger Tory Peterson Institute of Natural History.
