Syracuse New Times Street Painting Festival

The annual Syracuse New Times Street Painting Festival festival draws local artists downtown to create magnificent works of chalk art along the city sidewalks.
Create your own masterpiece in chalk on the sidewalks of downtown Syracuse – all ages are invited to participate. Pick a numbered section of the sidewalk on Montgomery Street and sign in at the New Times booth to begin. The spaces are first-come, first-served, so make sure to stop by early!
This fun event also runs as a contest to see who can create the best piece of chalk art, with more than $150 in cash prizes up for grabs to the winners in each division: Youth (12 and under), Teens (13-17) and Adults (18 and older).
Entry Fee: $10 for youth (12 and younger) & teens (ages 13-17)* | $20 for adults (18 and older) A portion of the proceeds will be donated to a local charity. Follow along on Facebook for more information.
