Coyote Moon Vineyards has earned more than 750 awards from wine competitions across the country

Afamily owned and operated Farm Winery in the heart of the 1000 Islands, Coyote Moon Vineyards has earned more than 1,000 awards from wine competitions across the country! Coyote Moon’s Northern Climate wines (made from grapes created by the University of Minnesota to grow in the colder climates) can survive -40 degrees Fahrenheit and harsh conditions making them perfectly suited for thriving in the Thousand Islands.


Sample 18 varieties beginning with the vineyard’s famous Pinot Noir to on of the local favorites, Fire Boat Red. Coyote Moon offers tours of its bottling facility and fermentation room and also features a gift shop. Guest are also invited to stroll through the vineyard with its more than 20 acres of vines, the largest in northern New York. The winery is open 7 days a week year-round with the exception of Christmas day.


The vineyard also hosts a seasonal flea market  every Sunday from June through September as well as wine cruises.


Can’t make it to the vineyard? Drop by the Coyote Moon Vineyards on the River, located at 524 Riverside Drive in Clayton. Sample wine, grab a bite to eat, shop, or listen to local musicians. This location also offers wine slushies, wine cocktails, and New York State craft beers as well as a menu that showcases the Thousand Islands region’s agricultural offerings. Coyoto Moon is also available at its Salmon Run Mall location in Watertown.
