Called the Grand Canyon of the Adirondacks, Ausable Chasm holds an assortment of Adirondack adventures like no other.

Hike, float and/or climb as you go back in time as you experience one of the oldest natural attractions in the United States (est. 1870). Soak up the primeval Adirondack forest as you stroll past waterfalls, caves, unique rock formations, towering sandstone cliffs and the eerie quiet of Mystic Gorge. Enjoy mild raft floats and wild tube rides between the towering chasm walls and other amazing sites.

And with more than 15 miles of unspoiled terrain, the Mountain Biking Trails offer endless fun for beginners and experts alike.

In the winter, take a guided tour and learn about the history of the chasm as you descend into its depths to explore the rock and ice formations along the Inner Sanctum Trail. Self-guided admissions for visitors 8 years and older are allowed along the Rim Trail only.

Ausable Chasm also features a campground to give you more than ample opportunity to enjoy any or all of the exciting adventures it is known for.
