Constructed in 1912 by the Buffalo, Rochester and Pittsburgh Railway, the Salamanca Rail Museum is now a fully restored passenger depot museum. Experience and learn about when rail was the primary mode of transportation a century ago.

The ticket office remains is authentic right down to the office furniture and telegraph keys while the rich red oak wainscoting and two-story sky-lift ceiling of the building's main lobby reflects an era of simple elegance. From the brick-walled baggage room to the multi-windowed “Ladies Retiring Room,” everything in the building is either a restored original or an exact duplicate based the depot’s original architectural plans.

Also has on display are several Rail Cars that are open to the public for viewing, including two box cars, three cabooses and one maintenance of way box car, all with a wooden platform between these them for easier access to view.
