The Wild Center is an outdoor and indoor experience on 81-acres that has earned praise from around the world for how it lets visitors of all ages get closer to the natural world.


The Wild Center is home to more than 900 live Adirondack animals – including otters, porcupines, ravens, snakes and fresh-water fish – and you can see them in the exhibit halls or up-close and personal during an “Animal Encounter” with one of the facilities Naturalists. In the center's main building you’ll find 54,000-square-feet of exhibit halls, live animals, hands-on experiences, a wide-screen theater, our cafe, store, and special programs throughout each day.
